Regretful sale...this is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to purchase a magnificent and highly fertile Waler/Percheron Sporthorse stallion in the prime of life. Pope is homozygous grey white, six years old and was rescued from Earaheedy Station in 2005. He is owned by Dr Sheila Greenwell (vet) of Margaret River and agisted at Wadi Farm Walers in Nannup, who are conducting this sale for his owner.

Pope’s background breeds include old bloodline Percheron/Arab/Thoroughbred. This stallion is one of the “Earaheedy Greys”, from the Wiluna area in WA, and his genetics are rare. Specially bred decades ago for stock and police work, these naturally athletic horses have great bone, iron hooves and remarkable endurance abilities. Other Earaheedy greys are already competing barefoot in endurance and vetting through with excellent low heart rates.

Pope has all of the above, along with a lovely calm nature which he passes on to his progeny. He throws remarkably 'typey' foals to pure Walers and also crosses particularly well with Thoroughbreds and Arabs. Produces great endurance and working types as well as the odd stunning dressage individual!

Everyone who meets this stallion is stunned by his good looks and personality. Well behaved with the mares, he is paddock mated and always kept with his mares and foals because he is so good natured and easy to handle. Floats/travels, trims, ties up, etc. very well.

We invite you to come and view Pope and his progeny at Wadi Farm in Nannup, or email for more photos and information. If you want temperament, size, good looks, athleticism and hardiness, then look no further.

Pope will only be sold to the absolute best of homes - serious breeders only - and we will want to meet all potential buyers. It is very important that he is able to continue to pass on his valuable genetics.

Pope has also been put under saddle but hasn't been ridden for a couple of years due to breeding commitments.

Stable Name: Malli
Sex: Filly
Breed: Brumby
Height: 15.2hh
DOB: 30/07/2007
Age: 1yrs

Sire: Station horse unknown

Malli is a lovely black-brown yearling filly rescued from Mt Welcome Station in the Pilbara by the Outback Heritage Horse Association of WA (OHHAWA). Mt Welcome was owned by the Withnall family who bred racing Thoroughbreds and excellent stockhorses/part Arabs for decades in the north-west. (Station records of some past stallions used are available for interested persons.)

Malli is an elegant but strong, fine boned filly with the softest eye you could imagine. She is a genuinely sweet natured girl, intelligent and anxious to please. Not a mean bone in her. Lovely hard feet, nice and straight, pretty little mover. An athletic filly with great potential for most disciplines. These station horses are sought after in every circle from camp drafting to mustering, jumping, hacking and eventing.

Malli should mature around 15.1hh and is ready to go to a loving home. She has been gentled and halter broken using natural horsemanship techniques, float trained, etc. Malli is currently residing in Nannup.

Please contact Katherine (Secretary of the OHHAWA) or Kevin via email wadifarm@bordernet.com.au (preferred), for more photos and information, or phone 9756 0709. We are keen to meet all prospective buyers.
