Owned by Dr Sheila Greenwell (vet) of Margaret River, and agisted at “Wadi Farm” in Nannup, we are now booking a limited number of mares for Earaheedy Pope’s 2008 season.
Pope’s background breeds include old bloodline Percheron/Arab/Thoroughbred. This stallion is one of the “Earaheedy Greys”, from the Wiluna area in WA, and his genetics are rare. Specially bred decades ago for stock and police work, these naturally athletic horses have great bone, iron hooves and remarkable endurance abilities.
Pope has all of the above, with a lovely calm nature which he passes on to his progeny. Pope’s first crop of foals are on the ground now and all are big, true to type, good looking horses, with fantastic movement.
Everyone who meets this stallion is surprised by his good looks and personality. Well behaved with the mares, a true gentleman.
We invite you to come and view Pope and his progeny at Wadi Farm in Nannup, or email for more photos and information. If you want temperament, size, good looks, athleticism and hardiness, then look no further. Step up to Australia’s original heritage horse, the Waler!
Phone Kevin & Katherine on 9756 0709 or email wadifarm@bordernet.com.au to arrange a viewing time
or drop in and see if we are “in” to visitors.

Gunnadorah Tom Thumb
Tom Tom was bought from Gunnadorah in Nov 2006. Two things differentiated him from the mob...his size and colour. He stands about 13hh and is currently between 3yo and 31/2 yo...he may grow yet but his formative years have been spent in drought so he has been unable to realise his genetic potential ...we have often found this to be the case with outback horses...their offspring often shoot past them!
He has matured a lot in his time down south and I am keen to see what the next year will bring.
He carries the silver gene as is technically chocolate taffy.....a subsection of the silver dapple colour.
He is currently registered with the United Palomino White Buckskin & Dun Assoc . Ltd and will be DNA tested to see if he is homozygous or heterozygous with the silver gene.
He has been broken lightly to saddle and proved to be a good student...even happy to leave his girlfriends to have lessons. He has a very calm and friendly temperament without being overbearing....seeks people for comfort and very politically correct with other horses. He survived three days on a truck with 12 others and was the only horse not to have a mark on him.!
A recent trip to the Margaret River Show proved that the thinking brain of a wild horse is on board...he handled all the sights and sounds.and hoards of people, as if he had been doing it all his life, and regarded the stampede of cattle and show ponies during the Grand Parade to be something not worth worrying about!
This season he is covering a handful of mares down south and will be coming to Perth early 2008. He has learnt to be polite with his girls and we are looking forwards to seeing what he will put on the ground next year.
For people interested in colour breeding; the following website will allow you to calculate the percentage chance of various colours if you put your mare to a Silver Dapple..

The stud fee at present is $500 plus adjistment and he will be standing at Bakers Hill with Fred and Rachel Watkins from Watkins Horse Handlers.
